Physical Therapy Assistant - PRN - 081-PHYSICAL THERAPY
A Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for assisting a Physical Therapist in the use of purposeful activity with individuals who are limited by physical injury or illness, pain, bodily malfunction, developmental disabilities, or the aging process in order to maximize independence, prevent disability and maintain health. The practice of a physical therapist assistant encompasses treatment, assisting with gathering data for re-assessments, and education of patients as well as caregivers under the direction of a physical therapist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited program with a Certificate or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Current Alabama State license One year of experience preferred CPR or ACLS certification within 3 months of hire followed up with consistently keeping current One to three years of LPTA experience in an acute care setting
