Pharmacist - Part Time - PHARMACY
The Pharmacist will perform duties not limited to but including: verifying all orders and providing clinical consults; supervising technicians; supervising filling of medication requests for automated dispensing machine, floor stock, and narcotic requisitions; signing invoices; signing out of all narcotics; supervising medication delivery; making patient rounds; and managing the day-to-day running of the pharmacy. The pharmacist will participate in all hospital activities requiring a pharmacists presence and be available to consult with any staff member.
Will be responsible for chemo therapy infusion mixing/compounding processes for on-site infusion center, and will serve as a subject matter expert and may provide basic education to clinical staff.
The position requires days with call and weekend rotation to include: every Wednesday and Friday, every 3rd weekend, plus any additional shifts as needed.
Candidates must hold a degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy and must hold an Alabama license in good standing. Must be able to write and speak fluent English.
Previous hospital pharmacist experience preferred. Candidates with previous chemotherapy/oncology experience are desirable as well.
