Performs various polysomnograms or other sleep disorders testing under the direction of the Sleep Center Medical Director. Responsible for attaching electrodes and monitoring patients and monitoring throughout the sleep study, documents observations, collects data and reports this information to the physician. Responsible for CPAP titration and oxygen therapy, scoring reports, assigned quality and performance improvement activities. Will provide patient education and will follow standards, regulations and polices as set forth by The Joint Commission, CMS, AASM and other regulating bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A graduate of an accredited polysomnography program is desired. At least two years experience in a full service sleep disorders center desired.
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (or be registry eligible). BLS also required within 30 days of employment.
